‘Moms Club’ Private Screening

What are journalists missing when it comes to what’s happening at school boards across the country?

The LA Press Club is hosting a free educational screening of “Moms Club” for journalists, designed as a focused briefing for reporters covering politics, education and investigative beats.

”Moms Club” is a gripping, fast-paced documentary that investigates the organized, well-funded effort to reshape public education by targeting LGBTQ+ students and influencing school board races through coordinated national strategies. Watch the trailer here!

What often appears as isolated “parental concerns” reveals a much larger ecosystem — spanning messaging pipelines, funding networks and political infrastructure operating across state lines.

🎤 Following the screening, stay for an extended Q&A
Moderated by LAPC Press Rights Committee Chair Adam Rose, featuring the filmmakers and moms from the film.

This conversation will focus on:

  • Investigative methodology
  • Source development
  • Reporting in hostile environments
  • Network mapping
  • Key areas journalists should be tracking moving forward

🎟 Free admission for LA Press Club members and $20 for non-members.

When: Thursday, April 16, from 6:30-9 p.m.
Where: LAPC Headquarters, 2535 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90026

This is an opportunity to engage with the material beyond headlines and gain deeper context for ongoing coverage of education policy, extremism and democratic governance.
